Mix-It-Up Mosaic Card

Why

Color wax paper and then rip it apart! However you glue the pieces together, you’ll create a beautiful mosaic greeting card.

Steps

1. Fold construction paper in half and then in half again to form a card. Outline a frame on the front of your card with a Crayola Erasable Colored Pencil. With smooth, bright Crayola Twistables® Slick Stix™ Crayons, color the frame. Cut out the area inside the frame. Trace inside the frame on the paper behind it. Open the card.

2. Cover wax paper with Slick Stix bright colors. Tear or cut the colored paper into small pieces. Glue the bits inside the frame opening with a Crayola Glue Stick. Fill the whole area, overlapping pieces to get interesting color effects.

3. Refold your card so the mosaic shows through the card front. Write your message inside.

Scissors—ATTENTION: The cutting edges of scissors are sharp and care should be taken whenever cutting or handling. Blunt-tip scissors should be used only by children 4 years and older. Pointed-tip scissors should be used only by children 6 years and older.
